She Contacted US!

Well aubrea made me do this again.... so world well I’m still in zhonghe... its my 5th here, and I’m with elder Visser, we are becoming quite spiritual. This man has really taught me how important it is to LOVE Jesus,,, man success is just happening from our faith in Jesus,,, we love it, mostly what we talk about is Jesus, now were not crazy spiritual freaks, we are just learning to love our savior Jesus Christ,,, I’m still a member of the Jedi council ( zone leaders) and this transfer our zone got bigger... it about doubled in size.. And we have lots of young missionaries. The mission is cruising right along and its just getting better and better... President was really happy with our zone this transfer.... we have four elders in our apartment right now,,, so sometimes that can be a little more stressful... but it spices things up and keeps us on our toes. What exactly am I suppose to write in these emails... there are lots of funny things that happen but they all just flash out of my head... biggest miracle of the week,,, found lady on the street who has read the book of Mormon and believes its true... she was riding her bike and we pulled up next to her and contacted us while we were riding... she didn’t understand what that meant though that the book of Mormon was true.. She is already Christian so I boldly told her it meant the restoration was true and she had to be baptized again... she don’t live in our area so I sent her info off to another zone,,, hope they get her in :) ummm the weather is getting nice and I’ve been really studying about Jesus Christ lately,, and learning how bad I want to get to know him... if started to make a list of things I want to give up so I can know him more.... well for all you punks thinking bout serving... GET OUT HERE! PS said with LOVE <3 really guys get on the mission if you look at my high school pics and me now,,, you will notice the changing affect it has ahahhahh BROOKE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love YOU. You are 11 NOW.

Super Late..... from 9/5/11

aub said i needed to send a blog... so okay well i have like 5 mins,, so ill try... ummm im alive and still kickin... baptism next week she's a miracle.. we found her on the street turns out she was investigating years ago. reads scrips and liahona everyday since but never could just quit smoking... well simple put, she doesn't smoke now mwhahahah... im staying busy out here and some days i feel like my head is going to pop... President caught me playing hide and seek with one of my new members in the chapel at the taipei stake center before our fireside.. it was more of the new member running over to hug me and i pretended to act like he scared me and was a pervert so i ran from him... i did all this knowing president was watching.... and i saw the smirk (smile) he cracked during it all... but he told the assistants i need to mature up a bit... they told me pres. thought it was hilarious but still had to deliver the message... all i read in the scripture is we are to be as children so i believe growing up would be apostatizing so ill just keep playing hide and seek ahhaahh :) well thats all i got time for.... LOVE yalls

well another week has zipped by,,, i cant believe its been been i week since we kicked that 15 year old punk out,,, ahahh just kidding i actually like the kid,,,, but the stress brought upon wasnt fun, well those two sons of the old monk,, which he was actually was only a monk for like over a week, it was like some training thing,, but he has been very devout Buddhist his entire life. well his two sons have interviews this week.and well me im still here alive and okay,, except on saturday we meet with one of new investigators who actually turned out to be tricked by satan,,, we taught him and the spirit was so strong, he told us the book of mormon cant be true because as when God tells prophets things and they write it down most of the meaning is lost through the writing of it, we asked him if he would be willing to pray do the moroni promise and he didnt say anything, then asked us what spirit he thinks is in the lesson satan or god? the guy is weird,,, then he went off and some rant and then i bore strong testimony of the book and power of prayer, but that time i felt as my heart was in my throat, and felt impressed to look him in the eyes and tell him the only reason you dont except, is because you reject the holy ghost, that set him off, but i felt good after words,, my comp gave me a weird look then i saw thought process going on,,, i asked him after the lesson and he told me at that point he was thinking why i would say that then as he was thinking he felt impressed it was right so we got really bold with him together,, so after the man was done with his rant we invited him again to pray and ask god,,,, and again didnt say anything.... ( he writes his prayers on paper doesnt say them out loud) so he starred at us,,, in deep thought, picked up his pen and began PRAYING (writing) once he finished writing he stood up as quick as he could got to the back of the wall, and said "when you read this i hope you wont be angry" he prayed to god that our life would be full of challenges and pain, and darkness and confusion, and that life would be full of annoyances, by the time my comp read it out loud to me the man was already gone... as he left when he got backed up against the wall i told him i was glad to meet him thanked him and he left and as he was shutting the door, did my last testimony of the truth of the church.... i wasnt angry that lesson at all but would have loved to punch him in the face until the devil is so annoyed he leaves his presence. well yeah that was the experience of that week... the mission is good :) love you all,,, oh and happy birthday to sara,,, and happy late bday to tim and justin, love ya ELder Brunson

so having the short time missionary was not easy, he would always ask me ?s and laugh the weirdest laugh, he also crashed alot on his bike, which made me get a good laugh, ecsept for when he crashed into mefor the 6th time! we did have our fun moments too though, but it was a hard week becuase i had to be an angel to this 15 year old "thing" or else members would begin to not like me, since he was from our stake. but i survided, i made it!!! but thats not it, last night was the fanalley, when his bike tires rim bent so it couldnt move, so i had to carry his bike home on my shoulder for a half an hour walk, i was covered in sweat as i walked through the streets of zhong he( which by the way is soppuse to be the worlds most densely populated area, or thats at least what i here, and god chose one if his, well lets say less smarter kids to take care of it.) i bet it looked really stupid,,, either it looked as though i was stealing, or i forgot that bikes are for riding not for walking. IM TIRED! IM BEAT! but its funny how you can still feel like the happeist person to ever walk the planet,,,, well sometimes it feels that way...or than that your to tired to think of how you feel.

well the monks kids are doing great his two sons definetly well be getting wet in the next tree weeks,, they have changed so fast! before from believing in many gods to getting down to the one.. heavenly father,, they have felt the spirit and know the things we tell them are true, they have family pray and read together every night. ive never been happy for any one then them,,, the mom works nights so i still hvent met her. really want to though, so we can get them into the temple,, i see good things in the futrure for their fam.

well works still moving out here, i still look like a maniac rolling on my two wheel babed in the streets of good ol taipei holding the beast of "blue" in my left hand for the world to see, with an invisble trump in my mouth playing the sweet words of repentance. our zone is catching the fire. love you all peace

Last 4 Transfers!

well i'm just pushing these last four transfers, and its feeling great,,, its nice to look in the mirror and realize your actually starting to forget yourself,,, well me and my comp have been told by president we get to babysit for a week,,, we are having a week, short time, missionary with us... sorry if my grammar sucks,,, all i do is speak chinese now that i have a Taiwanese comp again. well the mission is going great we are finding tons of new investigators due to help of God, but are having a hard time to keep tract of them ,,, need to slow down a little and work with the ones we already have... finding has become my favorite thing, talking to everyone and laughing at the rejection,,, when they reject me most the time i just play with em for a little then leave,, let them know we aren't robots,,, they usually wave their hand to go away, and when they do that i usually take the role like i just got to taiwan and say what does that wave mean, are you saying hello,,, so then i start waving,, or if i'm feeling really special ill hit there hand and say awesome high five,,, id say 9 out of ten find it really funny, and the one,,, well i better just not say what they do... well i forgot to mention,, for the past month i have been having nose bleeds once or twice a day,, so im on meds right now,,, and their starting to not work as well again,,, its not my sinuses cuz its so wet here.... so not quite sure whats going on... oh and 2 weeks ago i contacted a lady that said she was willing to come to church, i asked here why she was willing and she said because this is the 4th time you've asked me,,, and i said me or other missionaries,,, and she said YOU , well now she is super golden, but i handed her off to the sisters, just like any other golden person,,, last night contacted a girl and was inviting her to english class cuz i was in hurry , then she saw jesus name on the tag and said you re christian,, and we were like yeah and she was like i really wanna get baptized,,, thats my first time to here that on my mission,,, well she goes to the sisters too....we really need more sisters missionaries,, they do so many things we elders cant get done.....so all you single woman engaged or not drop what you got going and get your butt out here! love you all! elder Brunson

The Monk Gets Dunked!

so all, well we had another baptism. the monk finally got wet!!! hahahh he has had so many great experiences to help build his testimony, yesterday in fast and testimony meeting he got up and beared his testimony,,, he wasn't even baptized yet cuz we baptize them after church then give holy ghost on next sunday. well his testimony was great,,, sacrament meeting was very boring and needed someone with some good stuff to say,,, well (lu an rong). our investigator got up and started bearing his testimony, and of course he mentioned how diarrhea in his pants was his answer to not drink coffee.. every one started laughing,,, it really helped our other investigators enjoy church more, and it help everyone one to stay after for his baptism,,, the ward loves him! well now his sons want baptism, so we are meeting with them tonight... thats the pic of the baptism... i know my pants look really high..... ummmm its all i could find at the moment hahaha brother Lu is just another testimony to me that god has a sense of humor, and does love all his children.

the other pic is my new comp... we have fun together with in the first week we were throwing blankets over the other ones head and then hitting each other, together we have lots of faith,,, we are getting above the golden standards in our mission for finding each week together..... well all i decided i'm coming dec 6th,, i didn't like how people were calling it "coming home early" if i took the oct date. they do the oct date because if we don't take it then we go over our two years, but i told God dec sixth was my decision and if its wrong tell me, well he hasn't told me, so dec 6th it is. but the mission is great its getting better and better and i'm working harder and harder,,, we are seeing lots of success.... love you all ELder Brunson
