COSTCO! Finally

hello everyone, this was a pretty good week. i finally went to costco! i have been waiting to go there my whole mission, we went last week, i was so happy! we got some good things going on in this area, we had five people at church this sunday, we got a good five people, progressing towards baptism... i could see three of them getting wet, here in the next month. i started writing in my journal again, because some church historians came last week, and told us its a commandment, and use all these scriptures and experiences to get on us. they are the guys who have the keys to vaults in utah, so they have complete access to all church documents. they said only 4 people in the world have that ability, and two of them spoke to us last week! turns out joseph smith had 30-35 wives, and Brigham young had 55 so far accounted for. a lot of interesting things were learned, they answered our questions and were able to answer any question we asked them,,, these guys know so much. all of those wives they had most of them were not ones they had kids with. i don't remember if i mentioned this but last week i got hit by a scooter, i flipped off my bike and just rolled for a little bit, the guy just drove off. i thought to myself when it happened "bout time something exciting happens" i haven't been put on the ground in over a year, it felt great, the most exciting thing i have had happen out here is surgery on the toe lol... which still isn't fixed, i have to soak the thing twice a day in water and put cotton under the nail in hopes the little bugger will just come out... well last week while rushing home, i saw a guy on the street, and passed him while saying hi,, he said hi back, then i felt impressed to turn around and go back to him.... so i did, talked to him for a bit, and he just got married in jan. and loves to pray but doesn't know who to pray to. not only is he prepared ( because we taught him yesterday and he's good) but he loves junk food, especially burgers, and he knows of a place here in taiwan, that taste like IN N OUT,,, so i was blessed spiritually and physically for finding him. i LOVE FOOD i cant wait to just eat then exercise then eat then exercise... OH by the way Dad your bday is right around the corner. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! and MOM mothers day is right around the corner too! happy MOTHERS DAY!

well i love you all, the mission is good, like i said i'm being blessed very much, not only spiritually lol! i've grown a lot, haven't changed much as a person, at least it don't feel like it, but i have learned what is most important in life!

Marriage!!!!

Hello Everybody,

well we just finished conference yesterday.... it feels to me all they kept saying was marriage marriage marriage, i didn't realize it was suppose to be that fast.... i was one of the ones wanting to wait a GOOD couple years. id have to say, priesthood was the BEST session. I felt like this conference was directed directly towards me, almost like God was telling me to wake up! i really liked Elder Bednar's sunrise example, its great how God works conference, it felt as though i was conversing with God through his Apostles, let alone we watch it a week after you guys! it truly is a miracle how that is done....

well we are working out here, got some people progressing towards baptism, we had 8 investigators attend conference, so that was really good!

we got one investigator that just needs to quit smoking.... but his faith is just toooo low, he failed his smoking plan twice... i called him everyday twice a day to make sure he was on track....he's just not quite ready yet.

Well zone conference is coming up! we have had meetings after meetings,,, super busy, and now today we are putting on a zone activity for the zone, we hope to build zone unity.... me and my companion got creative and made up lots of games for this Pday, to make it happen... the biggest problem in missionary work, is the missionaries arent happy to do the work.

Well I guess colton is getting married, its a good thing he proposed before conference...had he done it after it probably would have come off as a lame plea for salvation for the Girl LOL hhhahh well congrats to Colton my bud! i hope everyone is doing well! i love you all.

Slow Down....Enjoy the Journey

well i have moved to the zhonghe zone.... and my comp is Elder Raskey, from Florida. we are having fun together, its actually the most fun i have been having yet... going pusher has taken a lot of stress off of me, i don't have to be perfect anymore.... every morning before we leave the door, we listen to the song "don't worry be happy"...... (its allowed) plus it helps to just help me enjoy the small things in life.... i have been focusing on being grateful for the small things in life this transfer. reading talks from general conference, such us "finding joy in the journey" "live a Thanksgiving day" i haven't really been as happy as i should have been on my mission, and that is due to the stress of trying to look good, trying to get those numbers by the end of the week, i always thought the numbers are what will tell president if i'm a good missionary or not, if i'm working or not, but from stressing about those things it didn't make me a happy person. now i'm learning to be grateful, for the little things.... this has been the best week of my mission so far... no i didn't baptize a crowed of non-believers, no i didn't heal a blind man on the street, but what i did do was find joy in the journey... i slowed down, learned i have been living life in fast zone, and its made all the memories blurry..... like when you run with a camera and take pictures all along the way,, if we don't slow down and enjoy the small things we wont have the clear picture it could have been, the picture where you can see the leaf falling from the tree, the picture with the white rose in the back, or the picture with the small creature that the lord spent time to create as well, such as the dragonfly, the butterfly, even the the strong army ant. when i look back i want to be able to notice the small details, i don't want to look back and wonder to myself,,, "whats that in that picture.... if only it was more clear",,,,

so an invite to you all.... if life is feeling stressed, slow down! notice the small things and be grateful, you will feel a blanket of peace fall from above, and worries will just seem to disappear!

Believe It Or Not.... I'M NOT PERFECT!

well i'm moving again, i'm going to my 7th area, i have never been in an area more then three transfers... 18 weeks. actually that was my first time to stay in an area for three transfers..

i'm going JUNIOR companion and i'm excited to do so, my comp will be Elder Raskey i know him... he will be driver zone leader, and i will be pusher ZL.... sounds more to me like slave, so i prefer just saying junior, plus it makes me sounds like the naughty missionary that i am.... well thats what the bishops wife tells me and the taiwanese sisters in the district. so once a month i will be attending the Jedi council, with master Grimely. oh man missionary humor is so lame ahahah this will be my ninth companion, aka nine great opportunities for God to remind me i'm not perfect. well my time is up i hope america is still there.... love you all.

WE know WE can!

hey all, well i finally did something i have wanted to do my entire life! i tried getting Sara to do it with me about two years ago.... but got rejected, rejection is a great thing now... it has really taught me how to use the atonement asap, i've become numb to it so numb that when i go home i see it making me that much more dangerous (competition) in the dating world mwhahahahah i will contact EVERYONE . im really wanting to go to byu hawaii becuase i got a good friend from the mission going there, and we want to hit up tons of concerts together he goes home next week but i got along time before i need to worry bout that stuff... but anyways back to my thing... so yes instead of riding a two seater bycicle with a beautiful girl, i was left to do it with a male, not that he isn't a pretty male, it just wasnt how i pictured it would happen it wasnt quite the dream i had in mind.... but you know i had a great time... and SARA,you missed out! hahaaha yeah we took those things off roading, they were hard to ride, but as we improved our companionship unity it got better,,, we almost killed a couple people and got some swear words thrown at us due to our terrible skills but other then that i think it went perfect.... it was a great pday to release stress! the work is going up hill,,, we are on the train i think i can i think i can.. except WE know WE can!

From March 6th

sorry still no picks..... you know why? because im super FAT and don't want anyone to see! none of my clothes fit anymore! man how much i wish that was true, because if that was the case i would be buddha and everyone could rub my belly and get really rich!

Well last week i had to spend 200 hundred american dollars on curtains, about a year ago like my first four months on island i cut some curtains in an apartment because mits were bitting me in my sleep, and my comp who was going home at that time said i could cut them... so i did, i cut them so i could put them in washer... then about 2 weeks ago i get a call from the mission office asking if i knew who cut the curtains..... i was like yeah , ME.... man taiwan is good at getting money out of me... two bikes and curtains... the government must love my pocket, im gonna need a job asap when im back.

well we are finding... but none of them seem quite excited for baptism yet! we invite to baptism in every first meeting.... and they used to always say yes because me and my last companion really knew how to work together... now me and my comp now are trying to manage that,,, training really teaches patience... ... but turns out the are changing the way things happen... the mtc training is changing and so are the way trainers train... the new church rule coming out... trainers will have a book to train on an hour a day. and will have to be with there comps fro two transfer... the presidency is making some changes!

well today i might watch shrek 4 ... its raining.... its approved out here mwahahaah.... but president still hasn't approved my rock music yet,,,, but i'm woking on that..... ahaahh just kidding... but we can watch shrek..... plus i don't need to get the rock approved... i'm emailing right now and linkin park is on in this place......aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
